A clear service.
Clear boundaries.
Subscription terms, your responsibilities and the limits of backup monitoring evidence.
What BackupTool provides
BackupTool.com is operated by Andrejus Sevcovas, individual activity registration 480837, at the address shown on this page. BackupTool provides WordPress backup monitoring. It receives supported job reports, observes expected reporting intervals, offers optional manual or explicitly scheduled cloud metadata checks and stores customer-recorded recovery outcomes. The demonstration uses fictional records.
It does not create backups, store backup archives, automatically restore websites or guarantee that a reported backup can be recovered. A job report, an archive metadata result and a performed restore test are separate evidence types.
Account access and availability
Customers confirm their email through a single-use link, choose a password and explicitly accept these terms before the 7-day trial begins. The operator may also provision accounts. Subscription prices and availability are shown in Pricing and Workspace Billing. Features and supported integrations may change as development continues. There is no published service-level commitment. Hosting outages, provider outages, cron delays, connection permissions and backup-plugin behavior can affect observations.
Do not rely on this release as the sole record of backup activity. Maintain your own backup schedules, off-site copies, provider retention settings and recovery procedures.
Your responsibilities
Connect only websites and cloud resources you are authorized to manage. Keep account passwords, site keys and provider credentials private. Set realistic monitoring intervals, keep independent hosting checks running and verify actual email receipt before relying on alerts. Review observations in the original backup software and provider when a signal is missing or access fails.
Record only restore tests you actually performed. Include their limitations. Obtain any necessary permissions before entering client information or distributing reports. Do not submit secrets or backup files through the contact form.
Optional integrations
New Drive connections use selected-file permission through Google Picker. Google’s permission can also allow reading and modifying files shared with this app; BackupTool makes metadata requests only for the selected file. Earlier broad connections must be replaced before checks resume. S3 and B2 require the provider access you configure; provider permissions can be broader than the requests BackupTool makes. You remain responsible for provider terms and charges.
Remove stored credentials in the workspace when no longer needed. Revoke provider keys or Google app access separately at the provider. Removing connection credentials does not automatically remove past check outcomes; use the history removal control or request assistance.
Payments, subscriptions and sandbox tests
Sandbox checkout is for testing and does not represent a live subscription. A live subscription presents its price, currency, billing frequency, site allowance and applicable cancellation and consumer information before approval in PayPal. The approved monthly USD catalog is Solo: 5.00 for 3 sites, Studio: 12.00 for 15 sites, and Agency: 29.00 for 50 sites. Review the displayed monthly total, renewal, cancellation and refund information before approving payment. Tax treatment and invoice issuance remain the operator’s responsibility. New Studio trials last 7 days. Existing trials keep their originally recorded end dates. The trial allows 15 sites, requires no payment method and never converts automatically. Each account can activate the trial once. Without paid or assigned access at expiry, monitoring pauses while retained evidence stays readable.
Returning from PayPal does not grant access by itself. The server verifies subscription status and its account binding. Ending a subscription does not itself delete previously recorded monitoring evidence.
Submitting a withdrawal statement
If you choose to exercise applicable withdrawal rights, open Workspace Settings → Billing → Withdraw from contract here. Review your contract reference and full name, then select Confirm withdrawal. A reason is not required. Your declaration and submission time are recorded, a dated receipt is available to download, and live requests receive a transactional acknowledgement. Acknowledgement receipt, operator review, subscription cancellation and refund completion are distinct. If you cannot access the account, contact contact@backuptool.com or use Contact to identify the contract and submit your statement. Mandatory rights remain separate from the voluntary first-payment refund policy.
30-day first-payment refund
For a live subscription, request a full refund of the first subscription payment within 30 days of that payment. This policy applies to businesses and consumers. No reason is required. Submit a dated first-payment refund request in Workspace Settings → Billing, or identify your account and payment using Contact or contact@backuptool.com. The refund is made to the original payment method and future renewals are stopped. Later renewal payments are not covered by this voluntary policy; mandatory consumer rights and remedies remain available.
Cancelling without a refund stops renewal and preserves any otherwise verified paid period. A refunded or reversed payment no longer establishes paid access. Sandbox transactions are tests, not real charges.
Acceptable use and account requests
Do not attempt unauthorized access, bypass workspace ownership controls, forge monitoring reports or interfere with the service. Access may be restricted to investigate misuse or protect the system. Ask the operator about account closure and data requests. Removing a connected site affects its records in BackupTool, not archives held by your backup provider.
Your agreement and account security
Creating an account requires explicit acceptance of the displayed service terms. A paid subscription additionally requires review of the price, monthly renewal, cancellation and refund terms, followed by separate approval in PayPal. Browsing an information page does not by itself approve payment or waive consumer rights.
Use accurate account information and protect your password. Tell us promptly about suspected unauthorized use. Business representatives must be authorized to act for their organization. Account closure is separate from subscription cancellation: stop renewal before requesting closure. We may restrict access to investigate misuse or protect the system and will explain the reason where lawful and practical.
Renewal, cancellation and failed payments
The approved prices are final monthly customer totals in USD: Solo 5.00 for 3 sites, Studio 12.00 for 15 sites and Agency 29.00 for 50 sites. PayPal is the subscription payment processor. Its supported funding methods and any buyer currency conversion are shown by PayPal. No annual plan is offered in this catalog. Tax allocation must be confirmed by the operator for the transaction; an invoice draft is not an issued tax invoice.
Once approved, a subscription renews monthly until cancelled. To stop future renewal, sign in, open Workspace Settings, select Billing, expand the cancellation control, type CANCEL and choose Cancel PayPal subscription. Check the resulting provider status before the next renewal. If cancellation cannot be confirmed, review the agreement in PayPal and contact contact@backuptool.com. Do not assume a failed or interrupted request stopped renewal.
Cancellation without refund preserves an otherwise verified paid period. Paid access requires current server verification, an unexpired paid period and no reported outstanding balance. An unverified, failed, suspended or reversed payment can pause paid monitoring and new-site additions; any valid trial remains subject to its own recorded deadline. Retained evidence remains readable. There is no additional promised payment grace period.
Consumer withdrawal rights
For an applicable EU distance service contract, a consumer normally has 14 days from conclusion of the contract to withdraw without giving a reason. Use the withdrawal statement in Billing or send a clear statement identifying your contract to contact@backuptool.com or the postal address on this page. You may use the model below but are not required to do so.
To Andrejus Sevcovas, Algirdo 22 - 21, Vilnius 03218, Lithuania, contact@backuptool.com: I hereby withdraw from my BackupTool subscription service contract. Please include your contract date, customer name and address, and the date of this statement. Add a signature only when submitting on paper.
Starting a trial or signing in does not by itself waive statutory withdrawal rights. Any immediate-start request or loss-of-right acknowledgement required by law must be obtained separately; the service does not treat ordinary signup acceptance as that acknowledgement. A valid statutory withdrawal is processed without undue delay and within the applicable legal deadline, normally 14 days after notice, using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed without a fee. The separate 30-day first-payment refund is an additional benefit and does not reduce statutory remedies.
Content and intellectual property
You retain rights in the site information, notes and recovery records you submit. You authorize us to process them to provide the requested workspace, reports and notifications, subject to the Privacy notice. This does not transfer ownership of your archives or grant us permission to train general-purpose AI on your records.
BackupTool branding and original website content belong to the operator or their respective owners. Third-party names and trademarks belong to their owners; naming an integration does not imply endorsement. Software components distributed under an open-source licence remain governed by that licence. Do not infringe rights, spam, forge records, scrape private customer data or bypass authentication, ownership controls or request protections.
Service limitations and editorial disclosures
Monitoring depends on third-party reports, provider access and scheduler execution. We do not promise uninterrupted observations, delivery to an inbox, archive integrity or successful recovery. Development features are provided as available; no description excludes an express commitment or warranty or remedy required by law. BackupTool is not a replacement for backup software, independent copies or restore testing.
Help and Insights provide general technical information, not individualized legal, tax, financial or security advice. Examples and demonstrations must not be treated as evidence about your website. If content includes paid sponsorship, affiliate compensation or another material commercial connection, that connection must be disclosed clearly next to the relevant recommendation or link. A general policy notice is not a substitute for that disclosure.
Governing law and complaints
Lithuanian law governs these service terms, subject to mandatory protections available to consumers in their country of habitual residence. This clause does not require consumers to give up a court or dispute-resolution route available under applicable law.
Send service complaints to contact@backuptool.com or the postal address on this page. We review consumer complaints without charge and provide a reasoned written response within 14 days where Lithuanian consumer complaint rules apply. If a dispute remains unresolved, consumers may seek assistance from the Lithuanian State Consumer Rights Protection Authority or another competent authority. Applicable court rights remain available.
Rights and questions
These descriptions do not exclude rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer rights. Use the contact form or the operator’s postal address for service questions or complaints. Material changes to commercial access will be explained before that access is offered.
Read how information is handledOptional follow-up and scheduled metadata
Incident follow-up stores acknowledgement, investigation notes, review reminders and customer-explained resolution. Reporting resumption does not establish archive integrity or recovery. Each timeline retains its latest 100 entries until the site is removed. Dated handover exports can contain these notes and customer-recorded tests; review them before sharing.
Queued email follow-up, daily digests and scheduled branded HTML summaries require workspace opt-in and use the configured recipient. Optional Slack routing sends site names, current signals, timestamps and workspace links to the channel configured by the customer. Investigation notes, exact archive references and test details are excluded from Slack messages. The webhook URL is encrypted. Transport acceptance is recorded separately from inbox or channel receipt. Terminal delivery records are cleaned after 90 days; incomplete outcomes remain for review and are not automatically retried.
Exact-object metadata schedules require separate per-provider consent and reuse the existing saved provider access. Google metadata checks may also request modifiedTime alongside the file ID, size, trash status and MIME type. Provider-reported modification times and request mode may be retained with the latest 30 metadata observations. Selecting a different object requires new schedule consent. This does not list Drive, find newer archives, read archive contents or create a new Google permission grant. Quiet hours and delivery maintenance windows defer follow-up notifications; they do not stop external backup software.
